I've gotta say, I'm super excited about the newest addition to our Halloween décor.

Hey, what's that under the drop cloth?

Its a real for-real solid wood coffin!

Yep, the neighbors are concerned...

Check it out.

Okay so its not in perfect condition. It needs a little touching up on the wood and the fabric from the base is missing and it needs a little tweaking in some parts.

The coffin even came with two stands.

I think that the broken part is cast Aluminum so I should be able to get that welded back together...I hope. Cause this stand is waay more fancy than the working stand.

The picture above is exactly how I brought the coffin home from deep in the heart of the West O ghetto. You should of seen the double takes I got from folks...sooo funny...wish I would of had a camera with me.

Victoria is back haunting our house for the first time in many years! She is a VERY particular Victorian lady who will only deign to appear if the conditions are right...I guess she approves of the new digs...

I'm literally drawing a blank here...first time that's happened in years!

Its not like I don't have enough stuff to fill that space two times over I just can't figure out how to do it exactly....

What we do in haunt nerd terms is called a 'walk-thru yard haunt'. For good flow of the patrons (trick or treaters or TOT'ers) I need to have an entrance, an exit and a well defined path to walk in...just can't figure it out though....arrgh...

Plan was to have everything up and debugged by the end of this coming weekend....

Its That Time Of Year Again!!!

Time To Haunt Your House!

Once again we are part of the group of crazies who are putting on the 'Alameda Haunt Your House' contest and canned food drive.

This year we are doing things a little differently. Voting to win will be by popular vote! No official judges this time!

The Alameda Bicycle Coalition will be doing a night time ride to see all the houses in the contest on the night of the contest Sunday Oct 30th. You are encouraged to decorate your bike and come in costume.

Last year we raised a pretty good haul of food for the Alameda food bank.

Over 500 pounds and we're hoping to do better this year!
